ACTIVITIES WEEK to mark International Museum Day at the Haslach Museums

The museums in Haslach will kick off the new season at the start of May and are offering a varied programme to mark International Museum Day, which runs from 1 to 10 May. Mist! Rethinking textile waste

The international Summer Symposium TEXTILE KULTURE HASLACH 2026 takes place under the motto Rethinking Textile Waste. It revolves around current issues related to overproduction and recycling, questions the handling of fast fashion and production waste from the textile industry, and focuses on ideas that view waste as a valuable resource.
In two exhibitions, different facets of this extensive topic are explored. The show “MIST! Rethinking Textile Waste” in the special exhibition space of the Textile Center Haslach explains the background of various types of textile waste, presents innovative recycling ideas, and provides forward-looking examples of contemporary design that demonstrate how leftover materials can be transformed into valuable resources.
In the second exhibition, “TWIST – Art from Waste”, free and experimental works are presented across the eight floors of the Haslach church tower.
